My advice to you is get a blog and start using it twice a week with useful/interesting information whenever you come across it. Twitter helps but is less mandatory than a blog. The great thing about a blog is that it acts like a promoter for your static website where you can sell your own ebooks. I wish I could have gone. I took a class on SF and Fantasy promoted by Random House and learned two things from it. Write short stories and submit them to every SF &amp; Fantasy magazine available and go to Writers Conventions whenever you can. All my short stories have too many pages to be considered short stories and I just don&#39;t have the finances to allow me to attend these conferences. I do have on-line savvy and have been building web pages for about as long as such things were available to the general public, but I am dragging behind in the &quot;blog&quot; venue and although I am signed up for Twitter, I have not used it much.
