Boats and Highways Just Don't Mix

Moving from the mountains of Truckee-Tahoe down to the sandy shores of Pismo Beach has been mostly uneventful, until yesterday when I got stuck in a traffic jam on I-5 in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley.
The owner of the boat looked like he could have used a bit more help with the straps and stuff from the employees at Penske Truck Rentals.
To make matters worse, a lot of people were passing the boat on the starboard side, but I made an effort to pass on the port as I'm pretty sure that's boating etiquette for people with the right of way.
Kind of reminded me of the Gilligan's Island theme song: ...a three hour tour, a three hour tour...

What do you think about this?

  1. Oh my gosh... Crazy, Jason! And I love that you're using "Boat speak." Too funny. But those poor people!

  2. Thanks, Mdog. I love boat speak, like permission to come aboard? Hehe, hey it's Halloween.
